FAQ's

Q. What exactly are hair extensions?

A. Hair extensions are human hair attached to a weft, which can be added to your own hair by weaving, bonding, clips and more to help create a desired look and add uniqueness to your personal style.

Q. What is the difference between virgin hair and human hair extensions?

A. Virgin hair is 100% natural human hair. It has not been permed, dyed, colored, bleached, or chemically processed in any way. This also means it comes from a single donor and the cuticles are running in the same direction.

Q. Why should I purchase my virgin hair from Honey Belle Beauty?

A. We guarantee that our hair is 100% unprocessed; it is the highest quality texture available and is offered at affordable prices. We also offer customer service with excellence to ensure our customers have the best experience with our products within our policies and guidelines. We believe in quality so when you purchase from us, you will get the best customer service possible.

Q. How many honey bundles should I buy?

A. We recommend 3 or 4 bundles for full complete installment and 2 bundles for partial installment. Closures are great to protect your hair and hiding your natural hair

Q. How much does each bundle weigh?

A. Our bundles weigh 100 grams.

Q. Will hair extensions damage my hair?

A. As long as the hair extensions are installed properly and you take the proper care of them, there should be no damage. A lot of this depends on the maintenance of the hair.

Q. How do I sleep with this hair?

A. It is best to sleep with your hair in a braid or pony tail with a satin scarf or satin cap to help reduce damage to the hair and your own hair. Don't go to bed with wet hair extensions; it can produce mildew in your hair and the hair extensions.

Q. How should I maintain this hair?

A. Extensions are not hard to maintain.  Brush once a day with a loop brush if your hair is thick or a natural bristle brush reinforced with nylon bristles for finer hair.  Use of the correct brush helps, making sure your hair is kept tangle free and free flowing is very important. When combing, hold your hair at the roots or base. This will keep tension off of your own hair. You need to be gentle with your hair and if it feels like it is tearing your hair out; it probably is.

Q. Can I color this hair?

A. Yes! You can do anything to these extensions that you can do to your natural hair; which includes coloring, lightening, highlights, lowlights, cutting, heat styling and chemically processing your human hair.

Q. Can anyone notice that I am wearing hair extensions?

A. If the application is installed properly than it should not be noticeable. If the hair extension wefts are showing and this is not your desire, contact your stylist and share your feedback.

Q. Are there any issues with swimming with this hair?

A. No, you can go swimming in a pool or hot tub, but try to avoid the ocean. Just make sure to wash your hair with sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner as soon as you are done. Also try not to braid your hair when you swim. Apply conditioner on the hair extensions before shampooing and brush with wide tooth comb from ends to root.

Q. How long can I use these hair extensions?

A. All of our hair can last up to 3 years on average if it is properly treated with care. If it is typically straight, it can be curled or styled. If you like to be more versatile, we recommend wavy as it can be worn straight or curled.

Q. How long can I leave my hair extensions in?

A. The answer to this question depends on how fast your natural hair grows and how well you take care of your extensions. Please consult with your hair stylist on any expectations of your hair style.

Q. How often should I maintain my Hair Extensions?

A. You should schedule your maintenance appointment in 2 to 3 week intervals or check with your stylist.

Q. How do I wash my hair extensions?

A. Wash the hair in one direction, from top to bottom; Avoid washing hair upside down in the sink. Use sulfate free shampoos and conditioners that are for dry hair and add the most moisture. Wash hair right after swimming. When brushing your hair, start from the bottom and work your way up while holding the roots to keep it from shedding or stretching. Make sure to dry your extensions and your hair (if the hair extensions are installed) completely after washing to prevent mildew or anything that can cause harm due to the extension being wet.
